Counseling is sometimes most effective when the entire family is involved. At MSCC, our staff includes licensed therapists who are available to provide emotional support, education and guidance for a variety of concerns confronted by today’s families.
Some examples of the problems encountered by families include: decisions regarding family planning, adoption, parenting, step or blended family issues, dealing with in-laws and other extended family members, adjustment to health related problems, coping with emerging alcohol, drug or mental health concerns, etc.
Some common family goals include the following: learning to communicate and problem-solve more effectively, developing the ability to cope better with changes taking place within the family, debriefing and coping with traumatic experiences, improving the ability to resolve problems and conflicts, and creating a more positive family environme
In addition, MSCC is prepared to assist military members/dependents deal with the various challenges that arise in their day to day lives. Some of these challenges may involve the following types of situations:
*Moving preparations and getting settled
*A problem at work
*The grieving process following the death of a loved one or colleague
