I am a licensed psychotherapist specializing in individual, Couples and Family Therapy, and maintain a Private Practice in Wilmington & Jacksonville, NC.

My therapeutic approaches predominantly include Narrative Therapy, EMDR, Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy combined with support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. I believe that no two individual experiences are the same and as a result my approach with each client varies according to their individual needs.

The services I provide include individual and family psychotherapy with adults and adolescents, both male and female. I work with individuals and families who have gone through some sort of trauma and are in need of additional assistance with coping and healing from the trauma. In addition, I have extended training and experience working with Military personnel and their families. I also have expertise in the areas of parent-child conflict, suicidal ideation, symptoms of psychosis, as well as, individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, mood swings, grief, phase of life changes, and other psychological difficulties. With adolescents, I am experienced in working with multiple behavioral issues, including oppositional behaviors, anger and aggression, attachment issues, low self-esteem, etc…

I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work and a Baccalaureate of Arts Degree in Human Development. I am licensed by the State of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and subscribe to the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics. My professional background includes experience working with adults, adolescents and geriatrics who have various psychological, emotional and behavioral symptoms resulting from traumatic experiences and/or biological factors. I have worked for nineteen years in the area of mental health, assisting individuals in learning new ways to manage and cope with their emotional and behavioral issues.

Obtained Masters in Clinical Social Work from Norfolk State University.

Licensed with the North Carolina Social Work Licensing Board as a LCSW
